Many iPhone and iPhone 3G users on AT&T have reported text messages sent from the carrier confirming that the long-promised free wireless internet access for iPhone/iPhone 3G users at Starbucks locations is now available.
The service has been met with issues such as a constant cycle of availability/unavailability ever since the announcement made earlier this year that AT&T would now be the Wi-Fi service provider after purchasing the network from T-Mobile USA, and announcing that access to the iTunes Music Store over Wi-Fi would begin in spring of this year.
Ever since the month of April, customers have been experiencing long cycles of activity with inactivity and spotty service, with some receiving service for a full 24 hours, while others were limited to 2 hour blocks per day.
