The HTC X7500 (Athena) has been in the rumbling since the middle of last year. Billed largely as a UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC) running Windows Mobile, the device has packed essentially every feature possible into a Windows Mobile device. The device features 624 MHz Processor, UMTS/HSDPA, 5-inch VGA display, dual cameras, GPS, Bluetooth 2.0, and WiFi. It also features a unique detachable keyboard and an 8 GB hard drive.

This feature-rich device was expected to not support American UMTS frequencies, making it a European/Asian-only feature. However, just leaked specifications have come to confirm that the HTC has indeed added American UMTS frequency support to the device. Because of the extremely high feature set, the device is expected to retail for well over $1000 when it ships in the next couple of months.
