We’ve updated our HTC Titan GPS guide with two major new updates. First, Windows Mobile 6.1 has been added thanks to DCD, a well-respected hacker in the HTC community.
Second, near the bottom of the article, we’ve added Office Mobile. The minimalist approach to these ROMs has removed Office Mobile, using the link in the guide will re-install the programs should you chose to.
Once again, PhoneNews.com is hosting and providing all the bandwidth for these downloads, supporting all compatible carriers.

I use and love DCD ROMs, but please also give no2Chem much deserved credit. Without him, we wouldn’t have 6.1 in the DCD ROMs.
This is why we did not give specific credit initially. As soon as we start giving specific credit, people start posting saying we need to give other people credit. Once I give no2Chem credit, someone will post saying how his/her work wouldn’t be possible without someone else’s work.
We’ll say what we said originally… we thank everyone that has contributed to the HTC hacking community for their efforts.
Is the Modem Link Software used for VZAccess hidden somewhere in the updated 6.1 DCD ROM by chance? I have been using VZAccess and it seems to be better than PDANet for reliability and maybe worth the extra cost.
Since you are using an unhindered ROM, you do not need VZAccess. You can use the Internet Sharing application in the Programs folder for both USB and Bluetooth PAN access. Bluetooth DUN should work as well.
hope dis works
Hello:
Someone can explain me the difference between the windows mobile 6 and the windows mobile 6.1 And i f that version works well. Also if someone know how to put Sprint TV and can explain me im going to appreciate.
Thanks!
Windows Mobile 6.1 includes performance and bug fix improvements. It was supposed to include a robust new user interface, but that appears to have been scrapped.
While Microsoft would like all Windows Mobile 6 devices to have 6.1 added, the manufacturers and carriers are taking their own time to test and approve each and every device… we’re just adding it faster than they are to the existing device.
Also, while the downloads above are for the “final” version of 6.1… Microsoft has not officially released it yet. It is possible that the “final final” version of 6.1 may have further improvements, which would require another updated release.
