The first details regarding HTC’s next smartphone for Sprint have been revealed with a familiar brand in the HTC Hero 4G.
The Hero 4G will be positioned below the flagship EVO 3D with a dual-mode CDMA/GSM version of the Qualcomm MSM7630 running at 1.2GHz and Android Gingerbread 2.3.3. Continue reading for the complete specification list.
The Hero 4G also features 768MB of RAM and a 4.0 inch qHD resolution display with a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera, while the rear camera is a 5.0 megapixel sensor with 720p video capture and playback @ 30 FPS is supported with dual microphones included for noise cancellation capability during capture. Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n is included with WiMax and Bluetooth 3.0 as well as an FM transmitter for wireless audio playback through car stereos.
The Hero 4G was also recently approved by the FCC, with the phone completing radio testing for Wi-Fi, CDMA and WiMax
Sprint’s putting together a nice smartphone lineup. If by chance they do get the next iPhone and when the get the Samsung Galaxy S 2, their array of phones will be SOLID!
i agree ep. if sprint screws up the gs2 by adding a keyboard or a 4.5 inch screen, i will be upgrading my evo to this.
Only thing missing is the NFC reader/writer. Other than that, Sprint is stepping up their game.
