HTC Announces S743 with US 3G Support

HTC has announced the pending availability of the HTC S743 smart device for the US market with US 3G support.

The S743 features a 2.4 inch QVGA display with quadband GSM/EDGE, dualband HSDPA, Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, a standard 12 key dialing pad with a sliding hardware QWERTY keyboard underneath, microSDHC expansion slot, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, ExtUSB port, and speakerphone.

The device is expected to be available later in the first quarter of this year through third-party dealers and HTC as an unlocked device.

    Considering it supports UMTS 850/1900, AT&T would be the only carrier in the United States. It would also work in Canada. However, HTC also sells UMTS 850/1900 phones at stores like Best Buy, without any carrier endorsement.
