HP has launched yet another Android tablet following last year’s Slate series debut with the inexpensive HP 8 Android tablet. Currently being sold for $169.99 with free shipping, the tablet features entry-level specifications for an Android tablet with Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2, a 7.85-inch touch display at 1024×768 resolution, front facing VGA camera, 2.0 megapixel rear camera, 16GB internal memory with microSD card slot and rear-facing stereo speakers along with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
It should be noted that the tablet is powered by a quad-core ARM processor provided by the Chinese chipmaker Allwinner, which further explains its lower than average cost for an Android tablet from a recognized brand. Those who also purchase the tablet will also receive 25GB of lifetime cloud storage from provider Box.
25GB lifetime from Box… does that mean additional, or are you capped at 25 free GB?
The lifetime storage offers from Box are capped and only for new users. For example I’ve got 50GB lifetime from their old TouchPad promo, but I can’t add the storage from the new lifetime promo since I’m already a current user.
