Update: Like the VM4050, Sprint appears to have reversed the decision to discontinue the G1000 and has returned it to sprintpcs.com for sale.
Sprint has discontinued the Hitachi G1000, it is no longer for sale from sprintpcs.com.
This leaves Sprint without any Pocket PC Phone Edition device in their consumer lineup. The HTC PPC6600 (XDAIII) was supposed to be released by now, but has been delayed in an ongoing effort to ensure EV-DO will work properly at the device’s launch.
