Google has announced the first major software update for the Nexus One designed to add new functionality and fix a longstanding issue with 3G connectivity.
The biggest feature added is pinch to zoom support in the browser, gallery and maps applications in lieu of complete multitouch support.
The newest additional features included in the new update includes full Google Goggles support for using the camera to conduct web searches, a Google Maps update that includes sync between saved starred locations on the Google account and the application, search suggestions from the same saved and starred locations, as well as a new Night navigation mode in Google Maps with Navigation.
