In a post on the Android Developer blog, developer Xavier Ducrohet has announced the release of the newest SDK version which will introduced changes for developers going forward.
In a bid to facilitate development for current and upcoming devices, the developer preview SDK will ship with version 1.1 of Android along with the yet to be finalized version of Android 1.5.
The new version is based off of the long rumored “cupcake” update which includes API support for features such as soft keyboards, home screen widgets, live folders, and speech recognition as well as an add-on that supports the Google Maps API.
The finalized version of the SDK is expected to be available by the end of the month.
