Apple has posted a fourth iPhone TV Ad, titled “Watered Down”. The commerical focuses on iPhone’s Safari, delivering a true web experience not a watered-down mobile web that is common on even the smartest of smartphones.
More importantly however, the iPhone ad has dropped the “2 year contract required” seen below the AT&T globe in prior ads. Many speculated that this meant that iPhone would not be available on prepaid, however, it appears to have been confusion between Chiat-Day (Apple’s ad agency) and AT&T’s legal department. The ads were originally intended to feature price points that would correspond with 2-year contract pricing.
