In a bit of a surprise, Ford has chosen Sprint to be it’s selected provider for Bluetooth phone compatibility in their Mobile-Ease handsfree addon, which should begin to appear in nearly all Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles.
What is surprising is that Sprint has selected the SonyEricsson T608 as the phone to do the job. Considering that the LG PM-325 is expected out within a month however, it is an excellent way to deplete supply.
Sprint has chosen to partner with online retailer letstalk.com for the promotion, and has established a special sales page for the partnership.
A $100 mail-in rebate is being offered on the T608, the rebate form is nearly identical to the previous rebate form that surfaced. We are hosting it here, it does not require a new service activation, but requires a customer have at least a one-year agreement.
Folks, you can complain about the T608’s problems, but at $99, there isn’t a better phone out there…
