Following the rollout of the Droid X Android 2.2 update for Verizon customers, an SMS messaging issue has been discovered whereby the date/time settings in the software are affecting the order of messages received which currently affects all messaging clients regardless of first or third-party origin as well as intermittent notifications.
Motorola has quickly responded on its customer support forums, but laments that there is no workaround at this time due to the issue being a software issue but has confirmed that a fix is being developed with no timeframe for release. The bug has apparently been found in every build of the Verizon Droid X 2.2 update dating back to the leaked beta builds, but for some reason was not addressed until the release of the official version last week.
So frustrating that they still don’t have an answer!!! I love my droid (when it works) but I am so tired of all these issues!!!
