Ebay seller shopcelldeals is currently offering the T-Mobile HTC One S for $179.99. According to the store, the units are brand-new unsold units from T-Mobile US stock and will ship sealed in original packaging. The HTC One S was T-Mobile’s previous HTC Android flagship when HTC first launched the One brand as a series of singular Android smartphones in 2012. As T-Mobile passed on the One X due to it being an AT&T exclusive and the One V being underpowered, it settled on the One S, to relative success.
The One S features Beats Audio integration, 8-megapixel camera with an aperture f/2.0 lens for better low-light performance, a five-element lens assembly, LED flash, autofocus, and features a burst rate as quickly as one shot every 0.7 seconds. The One S captures video at 1080p and users can capture still images while recording video without disturbing the video capture process via the VideoPic functionality. The last update for the phone updated it to Jelly Bean 4.1 in April, with HTC excluding the phone from additional updates several months prior.
The One S also features a metallic shell that has been coated with a soft-touch plasma overlay for improved ergonomics. A smaller 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display at qHD (960 x 540) resolution and a dual-core 1.5GHz version of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 processor round out the specifications. This makes the phone perfect for BYOD service on T-Mobile itself as well as the variety of T-Mobile-powered MVNOs and MetroPCS, as the phone was selling for almost double this price just one year ago without an agreement.
