As expected during the CTIA Applications and Entertainment keynote this morning, newly installed CEO Lowell McAdam has announced and confirmed the first 38 cities and airports that will be rolled out with LTE service this year. McAdam also confirmed that speeds for the new service will fall between 5-12Mbps with upload speeds between 2-5Mbps. The first wave of devices will be unveiled officially during CES 2011 which will include smartphones, tablets and modems.
