RIM has launched the BlackBerry App World. The company’s competitor to Apple’s App Store, is part of RIM’s ongoing attempt to reposition BlackBerry as a consumer-friendly device.
The application requires a PayPal account to purchase software, however RIM says they are working on offering an alternate payment method. Your BlackBerry must have a trackball or touch screen (any device with BlackBerry OS 4.2 or later qualifies)
To install App World, visit www.blackberry.com/appworld/download from your BlackBerry. You can also download and install App World when tethered to a PC, via the web site below.
