CTIA’s Wireless IT show has been on-the-rocks for years. In fact, we’ve concluded every year of Wireless IT expo coverage saying that it was worse than last year’s show. Moving the show to Los Angeles last year didn’t help matters, in fact, it nearly killed the show off completely. Turnout was so bad, that CTIA only promised one more show this year, back at Moscone in San Francisco.
The good news is, this year’s Wireless IT Expo is shaping up to be one of the largest in years. High turnout, combined with major presence from big names in the wireless industry (including, for the first time, all four national carriers) have resulted in reports that attendance is already expected to reach record levels. The best result from this, has been CTIA has reserved Moscone for 2008, and thus, the show will go on. Stay tuned for PhoneNews.com next week for full on-site Wireless IT Expo coverage.
