Sony Ericsson was short on details, but big on demos. Read more for a full gallery with over 25 photos of Sony Ericsson’s lineup, and their new offerings.
About the only two news items coming from Sony Ericsson at CTIA were in regard to existing devices. First, as expected, the XPERIA X1 was upgraded to Windows Mobile 6.1. We did get to use it, and it lived up to expectations for a modern Windows Mobile 6.1 device. We asked if the device was running the announced new generation of Internet Explorer Mobile, and we were told it was not… but they will offer it for the device when it is finished, at launch if possible.
The other announcement was the Sony Ericsson was finally shipping a UMTS phone to the United States. The only 3G phone they have shipped to the U.S. prior to this, was the Sony Ericsson T608… five years ago. The Z750a has been out for awhile in Europe, but now has gained the necessary UMTS 850/1900 support to be used on AT&T’s network.
Below, you’ll find photos of the Z750a and X1 in action, as well as all of Sony Ericsson’s previously announced phones.
