Following an early confirmation on its Twitter account this week, Cricket has officially announced the forthcoming launch of the Lumia 640 ahead of other prepaid carriers for this Friday May 15th at $129.99.
The phone features a 5-inch 720p screen, 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, LTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS support. The Lumia 640 will ship with Windows 8.1, but can be upgraded to Windows 10 Mobile when available later this year.
The phone also includes a one-year subscription to Office 365 Personal across phone, tablet and PC, 1TB of OneDrive storage for one year, and 60 minutes of free Skype Unlimited Worldwide calling each month as part of incentives provided by Microsoft to purchase Windows Phone smartphones.
