Clearwire quietly dropped a couple of new tidbits at CES. First, Mac support was on display, with a XOHM card plugged into a MacBook Pro via USB… still running Mac OS X. This is the first time we’ve seen Clear service running on a Mac, as XOHM did not issue a WiMAX driver. No word on when the driver will be released to the public.
While the Clearwire booth was branded under the Clear and Clearwire name, XOHM was all around. This may have been done intentionally, both to recycle XOHMÂ collateral, as well as to show that Clearwire has assumed control of the XOHM resources.
