MobiTV has now released their application for Cingular-branded Motorola phones. Previously this was available to AT&T Wireless phones, but now has been approved for Cingular phones as well. The new, updated version (released today) supports the V3 RAZR, V180, and V220. While this was announced last week, we held off coverage due to issues with the V180 and V220, and as of today, a new version has been released correcting them.
MobiTV also notes that the Cingular version of the V600 will not be supported, due to too broad a set of firmware versions to support and the lack of any reliable way for a customer to get their phones updated.
Motorola phones will use the “single-frame experience” which is similar to Sprint MIDP 1.0 phones, due to the lack of EDGE on these models.
