At CTIA, Cingular finally took the wraps off the American version of the Nokia E62. The long-awaited S60 device adds a BlackBerry-like keyboard, and will provide new functionality to the powerful Series 60 platform.
Cingular did note that the E62 is a consumer device, and is not viewed by the comapny as a PDA. Despite having access to both Good Messaging, and BlackBerry Connect, the EDGE-enabled E62 will be marketed to consumers and is fully compatible with the consumer MEdia Net platform. It will be sold for $149.99 after rebate with new two-year agreement.
