As announced by RIM in 2007, the BlackBerry Application Suite virtualizes the BlackBerry OS completely on the host Windows Mobile device, right down to the PIN messaging capability as well as other functionality found in OS 4.2. Although the screenshots depict the OS 4.6 front end, the application layer features compatibility up to OS 4.2.
BlackBerry Application Suite does not have a release timeframe at this time, but AT&T is expected to be the first carrier to launch the application.
