BlackBerry 8530 Specs Surface

The first specifications for the forthcoming CDMA version of the BlackBerry 8520 have surfaced.

The BlackBerry 8530 will mark two firsts for the CDMA BlackBerry device lineup. It will be the first CDMA BlackBerry with a Wi-Fi radio and it will be the first such model sold by Verizon when it launches later this year. The rest of the featureset consists of a QVGA landscape display, EVDO data access, BlackBerry OS 5.0 and Bluetooth along with a 2.0 megapixel camera, marking it as an entry level model much like the 8520

This correlates Verizon’s previously stated plans to release a version of the BlackBerry Tour with Wi-Fi, as well as releasing future BlackBerry devices with Wi-Fi going forward.
