AT&T to Offer Free Wi-Fi for Windows Mobile Customers on September 14th

Following up on the announcement of Windows Phone this morning, AT&T has issued a press statement announcing that it will extend its free Wi-Fi network access to Windows Mobile devices with compatible DataConnect plans.

The first devices to include the service will be the Samsung Epix, Propel Pro, Jack and Epix with future Windows Phone (nee Windows Mobile 6.5) devices being included in the offering.

    So if you have a regular data plan for $10 or $15 this won’t work?

    I guess why would you care about free WiFi if you already had a data plan anyway. I don’t think there are too many Starbucks in areas where AT&T doesn’t have 3G coverage anyway.
