AT&T has announced pricing for both the BlackBerry Passport and BlackBerry Classic smartphones after previously confirming plans to carry and support both smartphones last year.
The imposingly large and redesigned exclusive version of the Passport will cost $21.67 per month under AT&T’s Next 24 installment and early upgrade program; $27.09 under AT&T Next 18; or $32.50 per month under AT&T Next 12. Customers can also choose to sign a conventional two-year agreement, which will allow them to purchase the phone for $199.99. Customers looking to cut their plan access fees under Mobile Share Value plans or use the phone without a contract may also choose to buy the phone at full price for $649.99.
The more conventional Classic will range in monthly cost from $14, $17.50, or $21 per month under AT&T’s Next 24, Next 18, and Next 12 plans, respectively. The Classic’s two-year agreement pricing is set at is $49.99 and the full retail price is $419.99.
The Passport and Classic both run BlackBerry OS 10.3 and include touch screens and QWERTY keyboards for typing, the Passport’s 4.5-inch display at a 1:1 square ratio with a resolution of 1440×1440 and the Classic’s at a more modest 720×720 with a slight increase in size to 3.5-inches compared to its predecessor in the Q10 along with the control set common to the previous generation of BlackBerry smartphones.
