Today AT&T announced that all of it’s wireless and wireline customers can call each other for free, with the new “Unity” plan becoming available on Jan.21st. There will be almost a dozen different Unity plans available for AT&T customers to choose from.
Unity plans however will require combined billing, something that SBC and AT&T have been requiring for years to take advantage of joint AT&T-Cingular discounts. In addition, Unity plans lack Cingular’s touted Rollover minutes, and also are not available to customers with any business discounts (such as Premier).
