According to internal emails received by AT&T retail employees, the carrier and LG have decided to cancel the release of the CF750 high-end cameraphone due to cost and subsidy concerns.
The issue is not new to AT&T as the carrier has canceled similar high-end handsets in the Sony Ericsson K850 and Nokia N95 for similar reasons, as unsubsidized pricing for the above phones range between $400-$550, making deep subsidies an issue without manufacturer assistance on unit pricing.
In related news, the current LG Shine and Vu are set to go into sunset status starting by the end of May and August respectively in preparation for new models launching as soon as the third quarter of this year.
