It appears that AT&T will finally launch unlimited handset data at a reasonable price. The new mMode data plan will offer unlimited GPRS, EDGE, and UMTS data for $24.99 a month. The only catch with this plan is that they may caution people that using the data plan with any modem functionality (such as using your phone as a modem, or using your phone with a PDA) is not allowed. However, it is unlikely AT&T will be able to enforce this beyond verifying the IMEI of the activated device.
