AT&T has announced the successor to its LG Vu touch display MediaFLO feature phone in the LG Vu Plus for June 6th.
The LG Vu Plus marks a departure from the previous model by adding a sliding hardware QWERTY keyboard along with a capacitive 3 inch wide touchscreen display along with dual band HSPA 7.2 support, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, HTML browser, GPS support via AT&T Navigator and speakerphone.
Along with including MediaFLO support, AT&T is throwing in a 7 day trial of the mobile television service with service after the trial period priced at $9.99 a month.
Pricing for the Vu Plus is set at $199.99 after new 2 year agreement before an additional $50 mail-in rebate, bringing the total to $149.99.
In related news AT&T has also confirmed in the announcement that backhaul improvements being made to its network in order to provide HSPA 7.2 service will continue into 2011.
