AT&T has announced the first LTE devices in the USBConnect Momentum 4G modem and the Elevate 4G mobile hotspot.
The Momentum 4G (pictured right) will cost $49.99 with a new two-year contract and the Elevate 4G (pictured left) will cost $69.99 after the same terms. Both devices will support HSPA+ for coverage outside of LTE coverage areas, include a microSD slot, GPS support, and support Mac OS X at launch. The Elevate 4G will also have a 1.77-inch LCD display for access to device information and real time-data usage along with support for up to five connected devices for up to five hours.
The two LTE products will launch at the same time when AT&T rolls out its first five LTE markets in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, which were all test markets and close to AT&T’s current and former corporate bases in Dallas and Atlanta respectively. No details were given on pricing for LTE service or launch dates.
