Not a day after Palm had confirmed the pending release of the Palm Treo Pro for Sprint later this month, Alltel has launched its branded version for Alltel customers.
The device features a 2.4 inch touchscreen display set at 320×320 resolution, Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, hotkeys for messaging and device navigation, Wi-Fi radio, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, GPS transceiver, 3.5mm headphone jack, 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder, and EVDO Rev. The device is now available online for $519.99 retail or $324.99 after new 2 year agreement and $195 instant online discount before an additional $125 mail-in rebate, bringing the total to $199.99.
