Palm has issued webOS 1.0.2 for the Palm Pre. This is an over-the-air firmware update which will be available to all Sprint Palm Pre devices. Palm notes that webOS 1.0.2 is a general bug fix release, containing many bugs fixes that would have held up the initial release to launch.
This also is timed with the rollout of several new webOS applications on Palm’s App Catalog. You should see all of those new webOS apps after updating your device.
Specifically, the update fixes issues with Remote Wipe (where the device could actually be bricked from the command), data loss issues, as well as the addition of a fully-functional alarm clock.
To update to 1.0.2, go to the Programs menu, and select the Update function.
