Following months of speculation and renderings across the internet, the first live images of an as yet unannounced LG touchscreen device slotted between the Voyager and the Dare have surfaced courtesy of HowardForums.
The Versa as it is known internally, will succeed the Voyager in the high-end LG lineup and include a similar feature set with the ability to use special modules for certain tasks, such as a keyboard (demonstrated above) or other types of modules such as a dedicated game pad or Wi-Fi module, the goal being to provide flexibility for particular users.
There is currently no pricing or release information at this time
This idea looks kinda dumb…what am I going to do? Carry all of these extra pieces around? Lame LG….let’s see the release of the LG Renoir in the US.
I’m not really sure what to make of this phone. If it is going to replace the Voyager, then it would need to be a Non-PDA phone. Seeing the new phones coming to Verizon makes me worry that they are going back to making customers spend extra for PDA data access; in order to enjoy the same level of access to the web that other carriers offer at the Mid-Range level. And this new phone might not come out for months, if at all.
Uhhmm with qwerty keyboard?
