AT&T has announced Rollover Data to compete directly against T-Mobile’s recently launched Data Stash program. Rollover Data will be available to all its Mobile Share Value plan users, which now make up the majority of AT&T customers. However unlike, T-Mobile’s Data Stash, which allows customers to carry over unused monthly data allotments for a year that combine the unused and standard data allotment, AT&T’s Data Rollover program will only allow customers to carry unused data over for one month before starting over.
AT&T has further elaborated, stating that within a given month, the standard plan allotment of data will be used first before the Rollover Data allotment is used and the unused Rollover Data does not carry over indefinitely. The Roll Over data allotment will be available to all the members of Mobile Share Value plans to use and AT&T Mobile Share Value customers will be able to view their Rollover Data balance through the myAT&T app or through the web-based account management tools. AT&T’s Rollover Data program begins January 25 and all Mobile Share Value plan subscribers will be automatically enrolled.
