Many had wondered what had happened to the Motorola P790. The excellent portable charging device had disappeared from stores. Retailers like Best Buy clearanced it out at bargain prices… as low as $19.99.
The good news is, the P790 is not dead, it was simply getting a new packaging job. The P790 is now available again at more retailers than before, including national mainstream retail stores like Target. The P790 retails from $39.99 to $49.99.
What is not clear however is if the new P790 packaging includes a micro-USB adapter. Newer, ultra-thin Motorola phones like the RAZR2 use a microUSB charging port, while most Motorola phones (and the P790 itself) still use the more-common mini-USB port.
And, unfortunately, Motorola has yet to make adapters for other devices to use the P790, such as Apple’s iPhone.
