HP Announces New iPAQ Lineup with Windows Mobile 6, 3G/Wi-Fi Support

Hewlett-Packard has announced the pending launch of two new Windows Mobile 6 Professional smart devices in the iPAQ lineup.

Both feature quadband GSM/EDGE and triband W-CDMA (UMTS HSDPA 7.2 with support for U.S. 3G frequencies) as well as Bluetooth 2.0, 3.0 megapixel cameras with autofocus, 802.11b/g support, and A-GPS (gpsOne) support, though the feature is not currently supported in the U.S.

The first is the iPAQ 910 Business Communicator, which features a landscape QVGA touchscreen display, QWERTY keyboard, and 2.5mm headset jack, with the second being the iPAQ 610 Business Navigator with a 2.8 inch QVGA portrait display in a bar form factor, with navigation handled by a scroll wheel built into the standard keypad.

Both phones are expected to launch in the 4th quarter.
