After months of leaks and speculation, Verizon Wireless and HTC have confirmed the forthcoming launch of the latest update to the DROID Incredible in the 4G version.
This version is based off of the HTC One S reference design, though enough changes are made to the Verizon version to differentiate it from the model sold on T-Mobile, such as the obvious addition of the LTE radio. The phone features the following specifications:
- 4-inch super LCD qHD display
- Android Ice Cream Sandwich
- 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash, Burst mode and a 28 mm lens at f/2.2
- Front-facing camera for video chatting with friends and family
- 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ S4 processor
- Mobile Hotspot support with sharing up to 10 Wi-Fi-enabled devices
- Support for up to 32 GB microSD memory card
- 1,700 mAh lithium ion removable battery
Pricing and availability details have yet to be confirmed by either Verizon or HTC but are expected soon. The phone is expected to be followed up by Verizon’s own variant of the One X.
