Ahead of the retail launch of the Motorola Photon 4G this Sunday, Sprint has made the phone available for sale online on its own sales portal for Premier customers. The phone is available for $199.99 after new 2 year agreement and $350 instant rebate.
The Motorola Photon 4G is the first 4G WiMax smartphone sold by Sprint with international roaming capability as it will have support for dual-mode GSM/CDMA support as well as HSPA+ support for Europe and Asia.
The rest of the featureset includes a dual-core 1GHz Tegra 2 processor, 16GB on board memory, support for 32GB microSD cards, 1GB of RAM, 4.3-inch qHD display, kickstand, 8 megapixel main camera with HD video capture and front-facing camera for video calls, as well as the docking port for the lapdock and related accessories as found on the AT&T ATRIX 4G.
