Motorola Mobility CEO Sanjay Jha has confirmed to investors attending the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference that the manufacturer’s Webtop overlay which allows for desktop PC style functionality with the Laptop Dock will be integrated into all future Motorola smartphones from June onward, with no immediate word on updates for hardware launched before the integration date.
The next high-end smartphone from Motorola will be the Droid Bionic for Verizon Wireless, with Jha admitting that Webtop integration for the phone was dropped during development due to time constraints, suggesting a future Webtop update for the phone at some point in the future.
