AT&T has announced that beginning on February 13th, it will begin to offer a new DataPro plan with an extra 2GB of monthly data transfer to supplement its launch of the new Mobile Hotspot app on the HTC Inspire 4G the same day for $45 per month. In addition, DataPro customers already on the plan at the $20 monthly rate will have their tethering allowance increased to 4GB per month with no increase in the monthly rate.
In related news, AT&T has also announced a new partnership with electronics recycler FlipSwap to offer a new trade–in program and credit towards any AT&T device via AT&T retail stores, also on the 13th. FlipSwap works by determining the trade in value of a particular device, filling out a form and sending in the device via prepaid mailer for a debit card good for the value of the device according to FlipSwap, with the AT&T partnership facilitating the value estimate in real-time.
Wow! 2 more Gigs! That is awesome. Getting charged extra for something that should be included in the data plan already! Thats ok. I’ll stick with my rooted phone and unlimited data on sprint. One thing i wish is that i had the same speeds as tmobiles hspa+. I still can’t believe with tmobiles hspa+ you get faster speeds than wimax. Sprint is lagging on that for sure.
