PocketNow has obtained videos of an internal beta of Windows Phone 7. The videos show clipboard functionality in Microsoft’s new flagship mobile OS, including multi-touch copy and past functionality.
The update, version 7.0.7338 was recently released to software developers, to help them retrofit their applications to take advantage of the new software APIs. This release will mark the first major upgrade to Windows Phone 7 since its release.
Re – editing in WP7.
I am quite surprised that Microsoft actually released an o/s or mobile version of Office without any cut/copy/paste, i.e. clipboard feature.
Also, I should hope that the inability to place the insertion point anywhere within a text string such as a file-name or email address in order to correct it without having to delete back to the location of the typo (up/down/left/right keys) has been addressed in the update. Did they think that everybody had matured to the extent of never making typos – or perhaps they believe that having had this problem with our satnavs for a few years, we have grown to accept it’s inevitabilty?
