Following up, the respective product pages for the forthcoming Motorola Defy has confirmed support for UMA calling via Wi-Fi, confirming T-Mobile’s plans to relaunch the service via select branded Android handsets. The carrier previously offered Wi-Fi calling via UMA in its lineup under the HotSpot@Home branding until 2009 when it began its 3G service expansion and ceased offering the service and plan offering.
