An internal T-Mobile employee slide has confirmed both the T-Mobile variant of the recently announced LG Optimus Android device and the addition of UMA functionality for phone calls over Wi-Fi without using plan minutes. With the addition of UMA access confirmed, this would make the Optimus the first UMA enabled device launch since the discontinuation of HotSpot@Home in 2009 during the wider launch of 3G service.
