U.S. Cellular has confirmed August 27th as the launch date for the long awaited HTC Desire Android smart device, with retail locations receiving stock up to two days earlier. This follows months of hype building from the regional carrier and will launch nearly a month and half after the launch of the carrier’s first Android device in the Samsung Acclaim. USCellular has also confirmed further Android device launches throughout the year aside from the Acclaim and Desire such as its own variant of the Samsung Galaxy S.
