FCC Previews Verizon Samsung A870 (Updated)

The FCC has disclosed the first pictures of the Samsung A870 for Verizon. The A870 is Verizon’s counterpart to the unreleased MM-A960 for Sprint PCS. Verizon’s A870 will bundle Bluetooth and VCast Music with their standard EV-DO offerings.


Update: Many are starting to question if the A870 will indeed have EV-DO as originally stated. While the device has been certified with Bluetooth, some are reporting that the A870 will not include VCast services at all, drawing into question its support for EV-DO. We will follow up when we have confirmation as to the status of the device.
