T-Mobile has released a new firmware update for the unexpectedly popular HTC HD2 that addresses device stability and performance improvements, while adding the MyAccount application for managing T-Mobile accounts directly from the device.
Unfortunately, the update deletes full versions of games purchased from the previous demo versions of games on the device (Ferrari GT Evolution, Millionaire 2010, and Prince of Persia), with T-Mobile admitting no recourse other than to repurchase the games at full price.
What a bunch of crap. Telling customers to rebuy there games because there buggy phone with no future upgrades cant handle app purchases. Tmobile should be ashamed of themselves for releasing such a dead end phone.
Very strange, T-Mobile has always allowed free re-downloads of purchased content in the past, even when switching phones,.
I suspect it is due to how the firmware handled purchasing of these built-in apps. It’s likely that customer service may have to issue billing credits to fix it.
