Following up on the previous report on the ZTE Open and its pending availability as an unlocked device in the UK and US, the Chinese manufacturer has officially opened the dedicated Ebay store for the device. The device is available as expected for immediate purchase at $79.99 with free shipping in the Ebay-exclusive Firefox Orange color, with limited stock remaining in the first shipment.

In for one. It’s interesting that the black units note UMTS 2100 and the orange ones lack it. Both note UMTS 850/1900, so I’m not sure if the orange units actually have it or not.
It should not affect T-Mobile reception because of how T-Mobile splits the 2100 MHz band. You need 1700/2100 for T-Mobile UMTS on those bands.
The phone will work on T-Mobile wherever that have “iPhone” 850/1900 UMTS available, however. All other areas of T-Mobile will fall back to GSM/EDGE.
