Walmart’s hybrid postpaid Family Mobile cellular service powered by T-Mobile has quietly added data to two of its service plans in order to match other T-Mobile MVNOs, with the $29.88 monthly plan going up to 1GB of 4G LTE data, up from 500MB and the $39.88 monthly plan going up to 3GB of 4G LTE data, up from 2.5GB monthly.
Both plans include unlimited voice and messaging; data is throttled after the initial monthly allotment. As the Family Mobile service is a hybrid postpaid plan, the plans also include domestic voice and text roaming at no additional charge. However, unlike prepaid plans, they also include taxes and fees.
