Walmart is listing a new ZTE smartphone for Cricket in the ZTE Fanfare for $69.99 online, but the phone is not currently for sale. The phone can also be found in select Walmart locations in former Cricket CDMA coverage for the same price.
The low-end phone features a 4.5-inch display at 854 x 480 resolution and is protected by Dragontrail Glass, which is a competitor to Corning’s Gorilla Glass and manufactured by Japan’s Asahi Glass Co as an alternative front display glass product for electronics manufacturers.
The Fanfare is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor and comes with 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage with microSDHC slot. The Fanfare’s main camera features a 5-megapixel sensor with LED flash and can capture 720p HD video, while the front-facing camera features VGA resolution. The phone ships with Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat and also has a removable 2,000 mAh battery.
