Not long after the release date for the Virgin Mobile Triumph was revealed in the pages of People Magazine this week, Best Buy has listed the phone online and placed it for pre-order at $299.99, equal to the initial pricing of the Samsung Intercept and Curve 8530. While the initial pricing is high, this may mean that the phone will see limited supplies before full production gets underway and is also squarely in the high-end Android smartphone segment with its specifications.
The Triumph was announced earlier this month during a press event in Manhattan alongside the Photon 4G, but the clear winner of the event was the Triumph, with its stock Android build, 4.1 inch display, front facing camera and HDMI output for multimedia sharing on a prepaid carrier, which stunned many, though the first clues of the phone were found in a customer survey issued earlier this year. Full specifications for the Triumph include 2GB of internal storage, 512MB of RAM, 5.0 megapixel camera, A-GPS, WiFi N radio and Qualcomm MSM8655 Snapdragon processor.
